Your Design Library

You may ask "What books should I have in my web design library?" The answer is unique to you, as it depends on you and your needs, but there are some core books I think you should consider. Icons in the book catalogue classify these books:

These are reference books, fully detailing topics you’re ready to use. You should need only one book per topic, e.g. one CSS, one HTML / xHTML, and one JavaScript reference.

These are ‘how-to’ books, showing how to meet specific needs, e.g. using CSS to meet real design goals. You may need several books about a particular topic, each addressing different goals.

These are other books I think you should consider: some are for learning a new subject, some are for special needs.

These are (a) books I do not consider core books, or (b) books I know too little about to make confident recommendations.
