The Majors were declared the tournament winner after a savage thunderstorm made it impossible to finish the final game. The Majors were in first place when the final game began, and were ahead when the storm struck.

The Majors' second game was marred by quirky officiating, by umpires who appeared to be less than aware.

Burlington Tournament (OBA Eliminations)

The teams in this tournament were: Agincourt, Barrie, Burlington, Cambridge, Mississauga Majors, St. Thomas, West Hill, and Whitby.

Whitby won all four games it played, and the Majors won three out of four: both teams earned the right to go on to the Ontario finals.

Fri Aug 18 6:00pm Agincourt Won 13-2
Sat Aug 19 11:00am St. Thomas Won 14-1

The Majors played very well throughout the tournament, except in the first inning against Whitby, which resulted in their only loss.

One oddity was that only two teams were given the right to go on to the Ontario championships, even though the rules distributed prior to the tournament said that three teams would go on.

Clarkson Tournament (OBA Finals)

The teams in this tournament were: Ajax, Guelph, Kitchener, Markham, Mississauga Majors, Mississauga North, North York, Pickering, and Whitby.

Markham won the Ontario championship. The Majors were the only team to beat the champions, defeating them 11-1.
