SPECIAL REPORT:
Fort Wayne Tournament

We played in a Jul 7-9 tournament in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is one of a series of tournaments called the Hoosier Classic Summer Baseball Tournaments.

This lists the teams playing, our game results, and game locations.

Teams Playing 

The teams playing in this tournament were:

• Indiana’s Fort Wayne Cubs, Michigan’s Kalamazoo Maroons, Ohio’s MAF Gators, Mississauga Majors
• Indiana’s Aboite Braves, Indiana’s Duneland Flyers, Michigan’s Livingston Storm, Indiana’s New Haven Baseball

Game Results 

Here are the game results and coach’s commentaries:

• Game 1: we lost to the Cubs 3-9. This was a close, well-played game. Fort Wayne broke the game open late to win.
• Game 2: we lost to the Maroons 1-6. We spotted the Maroons an early 3 run lead which we could not overcome. We battled hard all game, but could not generate a key hit.
• Game 3: we lost to the Gators 0-19. The score does not reflect the game, as this was a close game through 5 innings, with MAF scoring 12 runs with solid hitting in the 6^th inning.
• Game 4: we beat the Braves 15-4. The Majors exploded with 13 runs in the 1^st inning to coast to the victory.
• Game 5: we lost to New Haven 2-6. The Majors came back from an early 2-0 lead to tie the score 2-2. Fort Wayne won it with 3 runs in the 6^th inning with some clutch hitting.
