I want to thank the parents and players of our 2008 Mississauga Majors for an AWESOME SEASON.
We had a great season, which reflected the hard work we put in from the beginning of the year. I cannot believe how fast
the 8 months went by; it has been great watching the boys develop as players, and more importantly, as young men.
Thank you for your cooperation, kind words, and support throughout the journey. It is an incredible commitment and
sacrifice you as parents make for our boys over the 8 months. On behalf of the coaching staff, we thank you.
Finally, I would like to thank the coaching staff for volunteering their time and skill. I really enjoyed the synergy
and harmony this season, and it has been a pleasure working with you.
Good luck at this weekends try-outs and remember “Discipline AMPLIFIES Talent”: please, please, keep working hard!
GO MAJORS!
Cheers, Coach Lawrence

Another strong showing this weekend at the Vaughan tournament, however not playing in the final game on Sunday
has left a sour taste in our mouths! We battled like troopers but fell short in extra innings against Whitby, the reigning
Provincial Champs.
The team’s hard work is really showing on the field; even when the pressure’s on, our boys are showcasing their
skills and playing like champs. We are getting incredible play from all 11 of our young men!
That being said, there is still a lot of work to do. When you want something you have never had, you have got to do what
you have never done!

We have been chomping at the bit waiting to get back into the mix in another tournament, and it definitely
showed by the way we played tonight. We were sharp in the field, at the plate, and on the mound. Our first baseman, Yurek,
was big in the clutch, going 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a single, and was equally sharp on the base path. Doon, our speedy
centre fielder, covered a whole lot of real estate and hauled in everything that was hit in the air.
Our infield play was tight, and was highlighted by a crafty play by our short-stop, Malik, on a ball hit up the middle.
Big Vinny held the Titans to 2 runs, and struck out 4 in a very solid outing on the mound.
Keep the intensity high and come out firing on all cylinders tomorrow! Let’s bring this baby home!
